Here I am reading today's NYT Online, and start in with the Newt Gingrich interview--- okay okay okay!! Enough. I can hear you. I am a Democrat, ever since our beloved goof-in-charge started running for Governor of my beloved state. And he's not even FROM here. He's lived here a long time, but he wasn't born here. Goof-in-Chief was born in Connecticut-- I digress...
I start reading and here it comes, the polls and as I read the more than 50% of ALL AMERICANS want the things on the poll and then I read:
88 percent approve of the reference to “one nation under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance;

Mr. Gingrich, Shame on you!!! 80% of All Americans don't know that "under God" wasn't in the original Allegiance speech. It was placed into the speech by our beloved and that marvel of Republican policy: Dwight D. Eisenhower in response to the "Godless Red Threat" that he was so fond of perceiving in his own mind. And don't start with you are un Patriotic. Sir, I have great respect for my country, my liberty, and my life--- I don't like it when people, sir, start legislating in places they have no business -- and most of it, started with Dwight Eisenhower and his "Cold War" policies.
I am so tired of people saying that they approve of the reference, and never quantify who 88percent of their "voters" are. If they are all people in the regional directory of parishoners in this or that Protestent or Catholic directory, OF COURSE THEY ARE ALL GOING TO WANT "under God" IN THE PLEDGE!!! DuH!!! How goofy do you have to be to figure that one out!!
We should have let Patton shoot him and become President!! We wouldn't have had the crap that went on so long under the guise of "defeating the God-less commies". What a laugh-- a
