Well well well, how short it seems since my first posting!! First let me start by thanking Hammer Of the Blogs host Heywood J. I feel about the same as you do most days and reading you daily (or trying to) is what motivated me to start this blog.
Heywood, sorry about copying your "layout" but never fear, I will get more comfortable with this and will change it, but to get things started-- I am truly an admirer of your blog, and enjoy reading your viewpoint -- Thank you for stating things I would never have had the diplomatic language to describe without resorting to vitriolic language of the worst sort.
However, I'm going to try to change that with this blog and will hopefully become more diplomatic in my diatribes --- diplomacy being the ability to say the nastiest thing in the nicest way. (That's a quote but I don't recall who to ascribe it to but I'll find out.)
I also want to at least try to thank those folks over at DailyKos who trolled a diary of mine, just because it wasn't as up to the minute, political, inflaming, deflmaming as they would have liked. Guys, thanks, this is why I am writing this blog-- so hopefully I can speak on things that are AND are not up to date/minute/second as they seem to keep up on things going on in the world. Again, Thank you gentlemen and ladies. Keep up the good work and I will continue to read DailyKos also.
A bit about me --
I am a woman, and getting older by the minute -- or at least feeling it. Politcally, I have, in the past always voted for the person, at least until GWB started running for Governor of Texas, then I started voting predominately Democratic. Then 2000 came around, and I found that I relieved my self of ALOT of stress if I just went in there and voted a straight DEM ticket, and I did so, TWICE-- just because I couldn't in good conscience vote for a man that drilled for & found oil under someone else's land, bankrupted 2 companies, and insinuated that Ann Richard's was a lesbian.
My parents instilled in me the priviledge that it is to vote and almost required me to vote. I am proud to say that I have voted to in every election I am allowed to vote in since I turned 18.
I am a liberal in my thinking, but try to keep an open mind. I am all for including everybody, at least those here legally, in the processes of this country. I do want to move internationally with my career, however, I don't see much chance for that.
Anyway, here I am world, watch out. I can be a pain in the butt!!!
